Writing on foil balloons

Can you tell me the best way to write on foil balloons. Example should I write on the balloon before inflation or after. Also what would be the best pen to use.

We've covered some tips about pens for writing on foil balloons in an older post.

It's best to inflate the balloon first, and then write on it.
