exploding balloon

Hi
I am making an exploding balloon. Which hangs above the dance floor to be popped during the first dance. How far before the wedding day can i make it? So that it doesn't deflate by dance?

ANSWER:

Hi Tracey,

I am assuming that you will fill all the balloons with air, right? Then you can safely prepare the exploding balloon up to 5 days before the dance.

I would suggest though that you only prepare the small balloons ahead of time and put them into an air tight plastic bag. If you expose them to air, they will oxidize and not look shiny any more.

Then, on the day of the event, blow up the big balloon and put the small ones inside.

Best of luck with your exploding balloon.

Margit
