How big can you make the balloons and how far in advance can I make the garland?

My party is on Saturday at 10 am. Can i prepare the balloon garland on Friday? Will it still last all day on Saturday?

ANSWER

Hi there,

As you said you are making a balloon garland, I am assuming that you are referring to an air filled decoration.

For an air filled garland it's totally fine to blow up the balloons the day before the event. Put the balloons in a tightly closed large plastic bag to prevent oxidation.

The size of the balloons depends on what size of garland you have in mind. For a spiral garland with 4 balloon clusters, both 11 inch or 9 inch balloons would be fine.

Underinflate the balloons slightly. This allows them to expand if the temperature in their surroundings changes.
