What is the spiral type thing in the middle made of?
Is that floral wire? If so, what is the gauge or thickness that would work best?

ANSWER:

I can't tell exactly from the image which material they used. My recommendation would be to use 1/4 inch aluminium rod, bent into the spiral form.

You could use spray paint to color the rod so that it fits with your centerpiece colors. Krylon seems to have good products (www.krylon.com).

Where to get aluminium rod or wire NEW

Hi Phyllis,

I couldn't find it either at Home Depot or Lowes (checked their websites).

You should get the aluminium rod or wire at your local hardware store. Crafts suppliers have them as well, as you can see here.
