How to get a photo on a balloon?

by shawna hartley
(newcastle australia)

Hi
My husband won't be able to be at his step mothers 80th birthday party. I want to take a helium balloon that serves as his head for pictures and general lurking around. Any idea how to do that without having to order 25 of them?

My dream is that the image is completely surrounding the balloon so that it's his whole head; front, sides and back.

I do dream big.
Any ideas would be most appreciated
Shawna

Photo Printing on Balloons
by: Margit

Hi Shawna,

That is indeed quite a big idea! And it would certainly be a wonderful surprise for your husband's step mother.

I am afraid though that I can't help you much with this. The smallest minimum quantity of printed balloons I've ever seen was 25 (as you mentioned yourself).

There's one alternative solution. If you have access to a top-feeding inkjet printer, you could print the photo yourself onto a special mylar balloon. The balloons are air-filled and placed on a stick. You can get all the material at Dyetrans. They also feature a video how to create those inkjet photo balloons.

All the best,
Margit
