I've been asked to do a 5ft Minney Mouse and Fireman Sam balloon. Any ideas on how I could do it? Also, if you have any pictures to share, that would be great.

ANSWER:

Hi Frances,

The easiest way to do this would be to create a normal balloon column, with either 9" or 5" balloons, or a combination of both, and use a foil character balloon for Minnie Mouse and respectively Fireman Sam to crown your column.

Choose the colors for your latex balloons to nicely compliment the foil balloons and you should get a great looking Minnie Mouse and Fireman Sam decoration.

The more advanced way would be to create balloon sculptures in the shape of Minnie Mouse and Fireman Sam. You can get an idea how to build those sculptures from Charles Prosper's video about making a balloon snowman.

I've added screen shots from videos I found at YouTube to illustrate my explanations. Unfortunately the videos don't contain any instructions, they simply show the finished decorations.

Best of luck with your project. As always, I would love to see a photo of your balloon decoration... it does not have to be from a wedding, pictures from birthday parties or any other event are welcome too.
