How can I make a cluster float under a foil balloon?

Hi There,

I wonder if you can help me. I am doing a display of a foil champagne bottle (helium filled). I want to put a small cluster of 4 balloons at the base of the bottle. But when I try to bring the bottle down, what am I doing wrong? I have filled them with helium and air, but both do the same!

Thank you in advance.

ANSWER:

I am not sure I understand your question fully. The champagne bottle designs I know have the balloon clusters at the top of the bottle, as if bubbles were flowing out of the bottle's neck.

You can see an example of what I mean here.

Can you perhaps post a photo of what you are trying to do? Then I might be able to help you better.

All the best,
Margit

Too heavy NEW

Hm, I see... so the bottle together with the cluster of 4 small latex balloons doesn't float any more, even if you fill the latex balloons with helium?

Can you try to inflate the champagne bottle a bit more? And perhaps also the small latex balloons? You somehow need to get more helium into the whole display, to increase the lifting power.

Sorry, I mean the weight of the balloons pulls them down, they seem too heavy ??

Balloon cluster under foil balloon NEW

Ah, I think I understand now what you are trying to do.

How about using either glue dots or 3M adhesive spray to attach the latex balloon cluster to the bottom of the foil bottle? Both are great for gluing balloons together or to other objects.

Let us know if this works, or if you found a different solution.

Hi Thanks for that but I don't mean that type of display, I mean with a cluster of 4 balloons twisted at the bottom of the bottle on the ribbon, just to make it look a bit more finished. I ve recently seen one done with a foil star. Hope this is a bit more clear. I dont know how to insert a photo on here, sorry!
